The Hotel Has Limited Carparking

How do I get to the hotel ?

The Northern Star Hotel is located at 112 Beaumont Street Hamilton.

When driving along the Sydney Newcastle Freeway you will come to the Newcastle Link Exit Road. Take this road through to Wallsend which will then join into Thomas Street. Continue along Thomas street until you come to a roundabout (approx 2 km) where you will then proceed to take the third exit on the roundabout onto Newcastle Road. Follow Newcastle road into Hamilton passing through the suburbs of Wallsend, Jesmond, Lambton, Broadmeadow, and then finally you will come to Hamilton. During this Newcastle road turns into Donald Street. You will go over 1 Railway Bridge during this and once pass this you will need to turn right at the second set of traffic lights onto Beauomnt Street. Driving up Beaumont Street the Northern star Hotel is opposite the large Clock Tower. The hotel is located on your right hand side.

Where can I find accommodation ?

Unfortunately due to issues that have been created with bands in the past the hotel will not provide accommodation to bands. We recommend the TUDOR MOTOR INN ( ph: 49 69 2533 ) which is located about 500 meters from the hotel.

Why doesn't hotel give alcohol out in the band rider ?

Due to the Occupational Health and Safety Laws the hotel will not supply band members alcohol before, during and or after performing. We believe in a safe working environment for all staff, and contractors.

Please find attached our band safety induction sheet which will needs to be completed before your band starts playing.

What is the starting and finishing times for music?

Front Bar Shows Sunday to Thursday 9pm till 11pm

Front Bar Shows Friday and Saturday 9.30pm till 1.30pm

Back Bar Show Friday and Saturdays 10.30pm till 1am

Back Bar Shows Sunday to Thursday 9pm till 11.30pm

When is a good time to arrive?

Back Bar Bands should arrive at the hotel around 9pm till 9.30pm.

Front Bar Bands should arrive from 8pm.

Please note the back bar area is a restaurant up till when the bands start. As a result start and finishing times are flexible.
